ABOUT DR. JAMILA HOLCOMB

Hi, I'm glad that you're here

I’m Dr. Jamila Holcomb and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist, and approved supervisor in the state of Florida.

Since 2013, I have provided mental health services to individuals and their families in a variety of different settings (in-home, in-school, in-office, and telehealth). This means that I have the pleasure of connecting with individuals from all walks of life and have supported them on their unique individual journey to healing.

Dedicated to You and Our Community

My therapy style is best described as nonjudgmental, collaborative, and warm. I take a strengths-based approach because I truly believe that everyone has the strength and ability to heal themselves, and that my job is to support and guide you along the way. I, in no way believe that I am the expert on your life, and so I always honor your lived experiences throughout our work together. My focus is to empower you to create a life that you deserve.

Therapy is not all I do. I am passionate about empowering individuals, families, and communities through a variety of avenues. I am teaching faculty at Florida State University where I get to inspire and mentor future generations on their unique journey to making systemic changes that benefit our collective mental, physical, and relational health. I also provide consultation and trainings centered around eradicating anti-Black racism, and enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the higher education and mental health fields.
